On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, both John Herbert Mincey and Meahki Asahmad Carter were taken into custody by the U.S. Marshal’s Service, Leon County Sheriff’s Office, and the Tallahassee Police Department in Tallahassee, Florida. Both inmates are currently being held in the Leon County Jail awaiting transport back to Tattnall County, Georgia.
