The Tattnall County Battle Creek Warriors defeated the Groves Rebels, 9-0, in the State Class AAA first round match-up held in the Badlands on Wednesday, April 13.

The Warriors led, 3-0, at the intermission.  Tattnall would then put the game on ice by scoring six goals in the first 25 minutes of the second half.  Freshman Yajir Estrada had five goals. Andrew Fermin added two goals, and Landon Hernandez and Erik Estrada added one goal each. 

Albert Ovalle and Yajir Estrada both have now tied the school record for goals made in a season, with 22 goals individually.

Tattnall County is the number one seed from Region 1-AAA, and East Forsyth is Region 7-AAA number two seed. East Forsyth defeated Sandy Creek, 6-2, in the first round.
