The Lady Warriors dropped their last three Region games. Tattnall lost to Pierce County, 6-2, at home, on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. The Lady Warriors also lost a doubleheader to the Lady Pirates of Appling County on Thursday, September 21. Appling County won the first game, 11-0, and Appling County won the second game, 5-3.

Up next: Tattnall County travels to Vidalia on Thursday, September 28. The Lady Warriors then travel to Pierce County on October 5.

TCHS softball team played a home Varsity doubleheader with Appling County on 9/21/23.


Game 1

The Lady Warriors got singles from Aubrey Sikes in the third inning, from Kiera Metzger in the fifth inning, and from Ashlyn Bacon in the fifth inning, but could not push any runs across the plate.

Anna Deloach pitched four innings, with 6 hits, 6 earned runs, 3 strikeouts.  Kinslee Harold pitched one inning, with 2 hits and 1 earned run.  Kiera Metzger - 1 single; Ashlyn Bacon - 1 single; and Aubrey Sikes - 1 single.

Anna DeLoach pitched 7 innings, with 10 hits, 3 earned runs, 2 strikeouts.  Kirstie Collins - 1 single; Jency Thompson - 1 RBI, 1 walk; Kinslee Harold - 1 single; Kiera Metzger - 1 single; Ashlyn Bacon - 1 single; Kenzie Hinson - 1 run, 2 singles; Breanna Callaway - 1 run, 1 walk; Anna DeLoach - 1 run, 1 walk; and ZaRayna Anderson - 1 single, 1 RBI.

In the first inning, with two outs, Kinslee Harold singled to right field, but would not score.  In the second Inning, Ashlyn Bacon started the inning with a single to center field.  Ashlyn Bacon was thrown out at second base, as Kenzie Hinson reached on a fielder's choice.  Breanna Callaway walked to put runners and first and second bases.  Kenzie Hinson and Breanna Callaway advanced to third and second bases on a passed ball, while Anna DeLoach was at the plate. Then, Anna DeLoach drew a walk, and, on ball four, Kenzie Hinson scored the Lady Warriors' first run, and Breanna Callaway advanced to third base. The next batter, ZaRayna Anderson, singled to center field, scoring Breanna Callaway and moving Aubrey Sikes, who was running for Anna DeLoach, to second base. Then, Kirstie Collins reached on a bunt single to load the bases. Jency Thompson walked to force in Aubrey Sikes with the third and final run of the inning.

In the third inning, Kenzie Hinson reached on a one-out single to right field, but was unable to score.

In the fourth inning, with one out, Kirstie Collins reached on an error by Appling County, but was unable to score.

In the fifth inning, with one out, Kiera Metzger singled to right field, but was thrown out trying to stretch the hit into a double. Then, with two outs, Ashlyn Bacon made it to first base on an Appling County error. Kenzie Hinson then singled up the middle, and Ashlyn Bacon advanced to second base. The rally would stall there as Breanna Callaway lined out to the first baseman.

Anna DeLoach pitched 5-2/3 innings, with 9 hits, 4 earned runs, and 3 walks.  Kinslee Harold pitched 1-1/3 innings, with 1 hit, and 0 earned runs.  Kirstie Collins - 1 run, 2 singles, 1 RBI.  Jency Thompson - 3 singles; Ashlyn Bacon - 1 single, 1 walk; Kenzie Hinson - 2 singles, 1 sacrifice bunt; Breanna Callaway - 1 run, 1 triple, 1 walk.

In the first inning Kinslee Harold reached first base on an error by Pierce County, but she would not score.

In the second inning, Ashlyn Bacon led off the second inning with a walk. Then Kenzie Hinson bunted Ashlyn Bacon over to second base, but she would not advance any further.

In the third inning, Breanna Callaway led off the third inning with a walk. With one out, Jency Thompson singled to the right side, moving Breanna Callaway to second base, but the Lady Warriors could not create a run in the third inning.

In the fourth inning, with one out, the Lady Warriors got back-to-back singles from Ashlyn Bacon and Kenzie Hinson, but still were unable to plate their first run of the game.

In the fifth inning, with one out, the Lady Warriors got back-to-back singles from Kirstie Collins and Jency Thompson, but were still unable to score their first run of the game.


In the sixth inning, with two outs, Kenzie Hinson singled to right field, but would be stranded at first base.

In the seventh inning, the Lady Warriors finally broke the seal and scored two runs.  Breanna Callaway tripled to right field with one out. Kirstie Collins then singled on a slap hit between the third baseman and the shortstop to bring in Breanna Callaway. Jency Thompson then singled to center field, moving Kirstie Collins to third base. Kirstie Collins then scored the game's final run on a wild pitch.
