In their only game last week, the Pinewood Lady Patriots fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 4-0 loss to David Emanuel Academy (DEA) Lady Eagles on Monday, August 29, 2022. DEA took the lead on a single in the second inning.

The Lady Eagles opened up scoring in the second inning, scoring one run.

A single by Katelin Smith in the third inning was a positive for the Lady Patriots; however, she was left on base, and the Eagles took control of the game.

Milli Anderson was in the circle for the Lady Patriots.  She had five strikeouts and no walks.

Aniston Callanan went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Lady Patriots in hits.

The DEA Eagles tallied ten hits in the game, overtaking the Lady Patriots for a final score of 4-0.

The Lady Patriots were back on the diamond this week against the Lady Crusaders of Robert Toombs on Tuesday at home at 6:30 p.m. and against the Lady Gators of Bulloch Academy in Statesboro at 4 p.m. in their first Region match-up of the year.
