Long County Sheriff Craig Nobles, Commissioner Gerald Blocker re-elected
Election results are unofficial Tuesday night

In the Tuesday, November 5, 2024, General Election, Long County Sheriff Craig Nobles (Republican) was re-elected with 4624 votes to Democrat Rondy Bacon’s 2271 votes. 

Also, incumbent Republican Long District 1 County Commissioner Gerald Blocker will keep his seat with 614 votes to  Democrat David Richardson’s 560 votes.

Overall, out of 13,393 registered voters in Long County, approximately 7000 cast votes in the election, which is a 52 percent voter turnout; however, at press time Tuesday night, over 200 absentee ballots were reported to had not been counted when totals were given. These election results are unofficial.
