Wendell Bullard of Government Tax Solutions (GTS) will give a presentation on how GTS can help the City of Reidsville recover delinquent taxes at the September 6, 2022, planning session.  

The City of Reidsville has $180,000 in back taxes as of April 2022. 

Reidsville Councilman Donald Prestage was adamant about pursuing the recovery of these taxes when he first took his Ward 2, Post 3 seat. It was his idea at the last council meeting to ask a GTS representative to come to City Hall.   

Prestage said he spoke with county officials about GTS, which the county uses. GTS does not take a percentage from the bills, but a fee is charged to the taxpayers. Prestage said the county is pleased with this firm’s work. The firm has a process and do all the notifications and the legal information.

The City of Reidsville holds a council planning session every first Monday of the month at 5 p.m., unless a holiday falls on that day. The regularly scheduled council meeting is held every second Monday at 5 p.m. at City Hall. This month’s meeting will be held on September 12.
