Early voting continues for Nov. 5 election

Tattnall County voters are reminded that early voting continues for the November 5, 2024, election. A sample copy of the Tattnall County ballot was published in the October 10 edition of The Journal Sentinel.

The ballot includes choices for President of the United States and  U.S. House of Representatives, District 12. Other contested offices are for District 4 Tattnall County Commissioner and Reidsville Ward 2 city council member.  Other offices are on the ballot, but they are not contested seats.

Also, two Proposed Constitutional Amendments and one Statewide Referendum Question are on the Ballot as well as the Special Election Ballot for Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) for Tattnall County.

Advance in-person voting continues as follows: October 28-November 1, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., voting at Elections Office in Reidsville and at the East Glennville precinct at 209 Bolton Street, behind the Glennville City Auditorium.

On Election Day of Tuesday, November 5, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., the election will be conducted at all County Polling Sites. They are as follows:  Precinct 1, District 1, Cobbtown Community Center, 373 Durden St., Cobbtown; Precinct 3, District 1, Collins Gym, 509 NW Williams St., Collins; Precinct 4, District 1, Manassas City Hall, 12540 Henry Street, Manassas; Precinct 5, District 2, Reidsville, and Precinct 10, District 5, Shiloh, at the Adult Literacy Center, 123 Tattnall Street, Reidsville; Precinct 7, District 3, East Glennville (building behind City Auditorium), 209 Bolton Street, Glennville; Precinct 8, District 4, VFW Building, 809 West Barnard Street, Glennville; and Precinct 9, District 5, Watermelon Creek Baptist Church, 8882 GA Highway 144 West, Glennville (due to storm damage) instead of former Tison Polling place.

Please note that Watermelon Creek Baptist Church will be used as the polling place for the former Tison polling place, since it was damaged from the August storm.
