Glennville Bank hosts retirement dinner for Patti Odom

Patti Odom, after 45 years of service at Glennville Bank, has officially retired as of June 30, 2022. Glennville Bank hosted a retirement dinner in Patti’s honor on Thursday, June 30, at 1 p.m., at Watermelon Creek Winery near Glennville.

The crowd of approximately 50 included current and many retired and former bank employees. Several shared humorous stories that were fond memories for Patti and the Glennville Bank family.

Others commented on Patti’s dedication and thoroughness in her bank duties.  Her mentoring to new tellers led to quite a few employees excelling further in their banking responsibilities.

Will J. Sheffield, President and CEO of Glennville Bank, presented a resolution passed by the Board of Directors in recognition of Patti’s four and a half decades of exemplary service.

Patti expressed her thankfulness for the accolades and the gifts presented to her.  She added that she could not have chosen a better company for her career or a bank family who became lifelong friends.

Patti Waters Odom began as a teller on June 1, 1977, and retired as Teller Supervisor/Banking Officer.

Patti’s family members attending included her husband, Joe Odom; daughters Lainey King and Laura Simms; and Laura’s daughters, Emily and Aubrey.
