Betty Haggard Martin of Reidsville is proud to announce the release of her gospel music on all streaming platforms.

Martin’s first studio recorded gospel album is “The Trumpet Will Be Sounding.” She has worked on this collection of songs since February 2014, when God told her to write her first song, the first track on the CD and the title of the album.

Martin is currently writing seven more songs for a second album.  She is so thankful for the community’s donations and support of her music.

Martin has enjoyed singing and speaking the Gospel in Tattnall and surrounding counties. In late July, she was honored to sing and speak at Garfield Men’s Rehabilitation  Center. 

Martin is the daughter of Mary and John Haggard, Sr. She grew up in the company of her siblings, Mary Edwards and John Haggard. 

She and her late husband, Larry Wayne Martin, Sr., have two children, Tabatha (Jimmy) Bruner of Reidsville and Larry (Melanie) Martin, Jr., of Hazlehurst. 

Jimmy and Tabatha have two sons, Brandon and Walt Bruner.  Brandon has one daughter, Delaney, and he is engaged to Lillian Cook. 

Larry, Jr., and Melanie have a blended family: Alexis, Logan, Madison, Addison, and Mixon.
