Tattnall County Volleyball fell to the Pierce County Bears and the Savannah Arts Panthers on September 20, 2022.

The Lady Warriors lost in two sets against the Panthers, 25-12 and 25-5. The team played hard and had a lot of volleys back and forth, according to Tattnall Head Coach Ashley Findley.

“We communicated very well and played hard against a very tough opponent even though we lost. I was very proud of our team’s effort,” she said.

The Lady Warriors entered their first set against the Bears with a taste for victory, winning 25-21. The two teams were neck and neck for the next two sets, but the Bears came out on top, 25-17 and 17-15.

“Against Pierce, we battled back and forth and had some close calls on the lines. We came out in the third set ahead 11-9 and couldn’t seal the deal. We tied a couple times, and then they beat us by two. Our girls played a great game though! We have definitely improved in a lot of areas. We just have to keep our foot on the gas and stay focused to get the win,” Findley said.

The Lady Warriors traveled to play Bryan and Wayne County on Tuesday, September 27. Game scores were not available at press time; check www.tattnalljournal.net for updates.
