The 2022 Miss Pink Warrior Pageant was held Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the Evans County Wildlife Club in Hagan, with two pageants, one at 10 a.m. pageant and another at 3 p.m.

The pageants, hosted and directed by Tracy Cowart and Gayle Bland, both of Reidsville, were a fundraiser event to raise money for Amanda Marshall Lockwood of Reidsville, who is battling invasive ductal carcinoma.

Ninety contestants competed in beauty as well as optionals, including Prettiest Dress, Prettiest Hair, Prettiest Smile, and Photogenic. A People’s Choice Award was also given in each pageant to the girl who had the most money overall donated in her name.  The divisions ranged from Infant to Ms. Division, which consists of single moms, married ladies, and divorcees.

Amanda and her family were the guests of honor, and Amanda was crowned as Miss Pink Warrior by her husband, Troy, and sons, Jackson and Tyson.  All proceeds from the pageant went to Amanda and her family for expenses she has incurred during her fight.

Tracy and Gayle extend thanks to their sponsors: Ginger Russell and G’Maries of Lyons for the crowns, Ty Nolan and Jeff Johnson with Sash in The City for the Sashes, Shellie Thompson Stuckey and Hometown Trophy and D&K Wrecker Service for the Trophies, and Heather Anderson Dykes and the Evans County Wildlife Club for the use of the facility.

Thanks are also extended to the many volunteers who helped with the pageant, because without them, it wouldn’t have been possible.
