I, Tara Finnerty,  would like to announce my intention to run for the office of  Probate Judge.  It has been my pleasure to serve the citizens of Tattnall County nearly 15 years under the Hon. Gloria P. Dubberly, who will be retiring after this term.  I am a native of Tattnall County, having been a member of the first graduating class from Tattnall County High School in 1994.  I held the position of Chief Clerk years prior and am currently the Associate Probate Judge, appointed on November 1, 2020.  Presently, I am on track to complete the four-year Georgia Probate Court Judges’ Certification Program through ICJE and University of Georgia.  This is a comprehensive judicial testing program that is a requirement of all Probate Judges and Associate Probate Judges in the State of Georgia.  

I will strive to uphold the integrity of this office as has been shown throughout the tenure of the Honorable Probate Judges before me.  This office will continue to meet each and every responsibility with compassion, dedication, and professionalism.  My formal announcement will follow after qualifying in March of 2024.
