Studio South Dance Academy in Glennville hosted its official ribbon-cutting event on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 4 p.m. Their location is 119 W. Barnard Street (former site of King's of Glennville).

A large group of friends and family members attended to welcome Studio South Dance Academy owners Jennifer Bland and Blair Rackett.  Refreshments were served, including a delicious cake for the occasion made by Jenson Bland, son of Jennifer and Derek Bland.

A representative from the Glennville Chamber of Commerce was in attendance to welcome the dance studio to the downtown area.  For many years, previously known as Jennifer's School of Dance, the dance studio was located on Hwy. 301 North, next to Deal's Veterinary Clinic, now owned and occupied by Blossom.

Glennville Mayor Bernie Weaver expressed his appreciation and that of the City for their location on downtown Barnard Street and for the beautiful and spacious facility that adds to the area.

Jennifer and Blair were also joined by their staff: Camy Bland, Delanie O'Brien, Katharina Dennis, and Elizabeth Paradise.

The dance studio is now enrolling for the 2022-2023 school year, and parents are encouraged to check their Facebook page now under construction. Contact info is studiosouthglennville@yahoo.com, phone numbers of (912) 237-1511 or (912) 531-3545.
