The Tattnall County High School (TCHS) boys’ and girls’ tennis teams came out of the 2022 Region tournaments as the number four seed in the Region.

The Warriors played in the first round of the state playoffs on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Southeast Bulloch High School (SEBHS).  After an hour rain delay, the games started at 5:30 p.m., and the last match finished up around 9:45 p.m.  The boys played well but lost their five matches.

The girls also played well. All but one match went to three sets, and the team almost advanced to the Sweet 16.

Winning matches were Raegan Collins, Olivia Trotter, and Aubrey Poole. Though they didn't win on the score sheet, Kayla Hardy gritted out, playing with an injury.  Anna DeLoach and Caiden Kirby also played three sets before losing in a tough third set tiebreaker.

“They were all definitely winners when it comes to heart and determination,” Coach Lynn McArthur said. “I would like to send one last shout out to the parents and fans who cheered on the teams.  We had some great fan support at SEBHS.”

Coaches for the 2022 season include Quentin and Lynn McArthur, Dennis Deas, David Daus, and Lee Ann Roberts.
