The Tattnall County High School (TCHS) baseball team finished the 2022 season at two wins, 21 losses, and one tie.
While the season was a rough one, the team’s main contributors are coming back next season, according to Assistant Coach Andrew Waters.
A lot of freshmen got varsity playing time. Junior Spencer Callanan was Tattnall’s batting leader. He batted .377 on the year with an on-base percentage of .484.
Freshman Bailey Blair was their best pitcher. He finished the season with 25.1 innings pitched, 20 strikeouts, and earned one of our two wins. Other notable hitters were Freshman Creighton Rogers, Junior Landon Hughes, Freshman Miles Brown, and Senior Jay Joseph.
Other notable pitchers were Joseph, Senior Connor Durrence, and Freshman Carter Sikes.
“We look forward to getting back on track next season and this summer. Our coaching staff is very excited of the direction of our program is headed,” Coach Waters said.
