The Lady Patriots scored five runs in the second inning. Bashlor, Aubrey Cate Danner, Anderson, and Callanan all drove in runs in the frame. Bashlor and Anderson each had two hits to lead the Lady Patriots.

On Monday, October 3, the Lady Patriots took on the number one team in the state of Georgia (all divisions) and the number five team in the nation. The Westfield Hornets, defending state champions, came to Bellville to take on our Lady Pats. The game ended with the Patriots down 13-1.

The Hornets got started early in the first, scoring four runs in the first inning, and the Lady Patriots could not recover.

The Hornets recorded 18 hits and scored 13 runs. The Patriots had one hit, recorded by Bashlor, and scored one run against the formidable opponent.

The Patriots return to the softball field three more times this week. Home against Citizens’ Christian on Tuesday, away against Edmund Burke on Wednesday, and home for senior night against Claxton on Thursday.
