The Georgia Independent Athletic Association (GIAA) 2A State Pitcher of the Year is Pinewood Christian Academy’s (PCA) very own Adalyn “Addy” Kirkland. A softball pitcher is often widely regarded as the most important position on the softball team because she controls the start of every play, dictates the game’s pace, and is central to both offense and defense. This description aptly fits Addy. She was selected for this prestigious award based on her remarkable statistics, outstanding character, and leadership on the field this season.
