The Pinewood Christian Academy (PCA) Patriots’ Varsity Baseball Team is the back-to-back Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) AAA Region Champion after defeating Bulloch Academy, 5-4, on April 15.
The Region is composed of five teams, and they all play four series with three games apiece. PCA won every series this year. Head Coach Brett Lewis and Coach Keith Wasson could not be more proud of these players for their hard work and dedication to this sport and this team.
“Winning Region is awesome,” Lewis said. “Practice is so important, and those players put the work in to make it happen. We are looking forward to the challenge of the state playoffs.”
Lewis was proud to see the team win the Region for the second year in a row. The Patriots won the state championship last year and are looking forward to a repeat.
The team is made up of Walt Durrence, Cade Beecher, Aiden Wooland, Jax Lewis, Banks Booth, Gabe Edwards, Tyce Miles, Jhase Blalock, Thomas Cole Hendrix, Jake Rogers, Mic Wasson, Greg Griffin, Jordan Whitlow, Hamilton Whiten, Colton Sowell, Parker Deal, Walker Todd, Jade Bradley, Braxton Brinkley, Jayce Dodd, Truett Rountree, and Avery Beasley.
The Patriots will play Westfield at Home this Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
