Russell Terry Waters has announced his intentions to qualify for the District 4 Tattnall County Commissioner seat when qualifying opens in March 2024.
He is a lifelong resident of Tattnall County and is retired from a civil service career at Ft. Stewart, Georgia; he also is retired as a Warrant Officer (CW4) from the Georgia National Guard with 36 years of service.
Waters is a resident of Love’s Chapel Road, and he and his wife, Pam Waters, owned The Glennville Sentinel for over 35 years. They sold the newspaper in 2016, and Pam currently is employed by The Journal Sentinel.
Terry and Pam are parents to three grown sons, with one, Shawn, deceased. They have a 16-year-old daughter, Dixie, who is a sophomore at Tattnall County High School.
The Waters family are members of First Baptist Church of Glennville.
The formal announcement for Terry Waters will follow once he has qualified for the office.
