On June 26, 2026, Tattnall County 4-H members attended Georgia State 4-H Council at the Rock Eagle 4-H Center in Eatonton, Georgia. State 4-H Council is one of Georgia 4-H's core programs, promoting statewide leadership and citizenship engagement all while having a little fun competition between the four districts.

Throughout the weekend, delegates participate in a variety of activities, including leadership workshops, citizenship programs, and a district versus district competition for the Iron Clover. Members also had the opportunity to campaign for and elect the Georgia 4-H State Officers for the upcoming year. Four-H’er Jeremiah Ray represented Tattnall County 4-H as he campaigned to be a state officer.

State 4-H Council provides youth with opportunities to build leadership skills, develop friendships with fellow 4-H members from across Georgia, and become more involved in their communities and the Georgia 4-H program. Through participation in events such as State 4-H Council, youth gain valuable experiences that help prepare them for future leadership roles in school, college, careers, and community service.

Representing Tattnall County 4-H at this year's State 4-H Council were Americus Arnold, Shyanne Busbie, Kaity Eason, Maisy Hasz, Katie Miller, London Murphy, Jeremiah Ray, Luke Summers, and Lydia Summers.
