At their Tuesday, September 1, 2026, Glennville city council meeting, the city officials approved the purchase of a $270,000 used fire truck for the Glennville Fire Department, which replaces one that is no longer operable. City Manager Jeremy Anderson commented that the pumper has only 77 hours on it, and the truck itself has 7400 miles on it. The truck is a 2013 Freightliner Turbo Diesel ICS-350 2000-gallon tanker-pumper fire truck and was purchased through Firetec from Ogden Iowa Fire Department.
