Julia Hethcox of Claxton won the title of 2022 Miss Pinewood Christian Academy (PCA) and the interview award on March 26 in an evening of pageantry held in the PCA gymnasium.

Hethcox was crowned by the 2021 Miss PCA Cadence Lynn. Hethcox is the 16-year-old daughter of Chad and Angel Hethcox.

Hethcox is a junior at PCA and is honored to have the opportunity to represent her school during her reign. This was the third pageant Hethcox has competed in and the second time competing for the title of Miss PCA.

“I had so much fun competing in this pageant. Aside from all the great memories made, I built friendships and learned things about myself that I may not have known without being in this pageant,” Hethcox said. “When they announced that I was the winner, I was overwhelmed with excitement because I now have the opportunity to represent the school that has been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember.”

After graduating from Pinewood, Hethcox plans to attend Georgia Southern University, later attending medical school to become a licensed physician’s assistant and work in the field of aesthetics.

Her court included 1st runner-up Peighton White, the daughter of David and Shawnda White of Glennville; 2nd runner-up and Miss Congeniality Genevieve Bradley, the daughter of Ed Bradley and DeAnna Bradley of Claxton; 3rd runner-up Jena Bradley, the daughter of Ricky and Jennifer Bradley of Glennville; and 4th runner-up Allie Shea, the daughter of Chris and Alexandra Shea of Register and Jennie and Lewis Hardenbrook of Middleburg, Florida.

The People’s Choice award was voted on by the public and was awarded to Grace Rogers, the daughter of Charlton and Anna Rogers of Glennville. Miss Photogenic was awarded to Emma Todd, the daughter of Nathan and Mandy Todd of Claxton.
