The Tattnall County men’s soccer team remains in first place in the region 1-AAA with a 13-1 record and a 6-1 region mark.
The warriors defeated class AAAAA Wayne County 3-1 on Tuesday, March 29 in a non-region match. Albert Ovalle scored two goals and Silvestre Camacho scored one for Tattnall County.
The warriors are ranked second in the latest class AAA rankings on MaxPrep and sit at fifth place in the Atlanta Journal Constitution poll.
The warriors also celebrated senior recognition night. Their seniors are Brandon Houser, Isaish Bush, Humberto Ovalle, Axel Martinez, Angel Delgado, Fernando Andrade, Santos Marquez, Edgar Hinojosa, and Travarus Rogers.
With two weeks left in the regular season, Tattnall can lock up the number one seed in the region with a win over Appling County on Wednesday, April 6 at home. They will then close out the slate at home against non-region foes Southeast Bulloch on Friday, April 8 before hosting a first-round play-off match against Groves on Wednesday, April 13.

The lady warriors lost to Wayne County 5-1, falling to 3-10-1 on the season and 1-6 in the region.
The lady warriors also recognized their senior players last Tuesday night. They are Isabela Scott, Natalia Esquivel, Jasmine Pichardo, and Celeste Cervantes.
