The Pinewood Christian Academy (PCA) Cross Country teams ran in their first meet of the season on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Bulloch Academy.

The Varsity Lady Patriots finished first as a team.  Lacy Stone was the Patriots’ top finisher, finishing second overall.  She was followed by Ginny Nutting (fourth), Ella Johns (fifth), Abi Scott (eighth) and Payton Cowart (14th).

The Middle School Lady Patriots team finished in second place. Bonnie Blocker was the first Patriot to cross the finish line in sixth place overall.  Lexi Dasher (13th), Anne Nutting (14th), Ali Holland (19th), and Anna Snipes (20th) also ran well to assure the second-place team finish.

The Varsity Patriots did not have enough participants to place as a team, but Nicholas Nobels (16th), Bryson Croft (21st) and Carter Sikes (27th) gave their all in their first meet of the year.

The Middle School Patriots also did not have enough participants available to run at this meet to earn a team placement, but Fysher Monroe (16th), Bentley Byrd (18th), Tucker Kraus (19th), and Jacob Kennedy (34th) all had strong performances.

“I am very proud of all of our runners.  They have been working very hard and it was nice to actually run in a meet and see where we stand,” Head Coach Matthew Swain said.

PCA’s next meet will be on Monday, September 19 at Bulloch Academy.
