The Pinewood Patriots played the Bulloch Academy Gators on Friday, November 3, 2023, in Bellville. The Patriots fell to the Gators, 16-22, after 48 minutes of football. 

As a team, the Patriots had a total of 153 offensive yards with 50 in passing and 103 in rushing yards. Junior Quarterback Banks Booth recorded 50 passing yards and 53 individual rushing yards. Senior Kaedan Arnold recorded 37 rushing yards as well as Senior Wesley Tippins rushed for 13. Kaedan Arnold also had 2 receptions for 14 yards, Maddux Lewis had one reception for 11 yards, Jake Rogers had one reception for 9 yards and Walker Todd had 2 receptions for 8 yards. Todd also had 3 kickoff returns for a total of 142 yards. 

Defensively, leading tacklers were Will Wasson with 6 solo tackles and 6 assists, Ben Swindell with 5 solo tackles and 3 assists, Tyson Swindell with 4 solo tackles and 3 assists, and Jake Rogers with 3 solo tackles. 

The Gators scored first–a rushing touchdown and a point after kick put 7 on the board for Bulloch. 

The Patriots responded with a touchdown run by Banks Booth and a two-point conversion by Jake Rogers. 

Bulloch Academy scored in the second with a run to the end zone and another point after kick. Halftime ended with the Gators up 14-8. 

The Patriots scored in the third with a run by Booth and a two-point conversion run by Booth as well. 

The Gators responded for the last score of the game with another touchdown run and two point conversion. The game ended 16-22 in favor of the Gators. 

Pinewood will have an off week this week and will return to the football field against Brookwood in Thomasville on November 17. Game time is 7:30.
