Lisa Paradice will retire later this month as Elections Administrator with the Tattnall County Board of Elections.  She started on March 31, 2011, and she will end her tenure of 11-1/2 years in this position later this month, reaching the age of 65.

The Tattnall County Commissioners presented her with a proclamation this past Monday, October 3, 2022, to recognize her years of service upon her retirement.  Elections Board Chairman Dennis Odom presented the proclamation to Paradice.

The proclamation acknowledged that "with no prior experience in elections, Mrs. Paradice quickly learned the election process and has done an excellent job serving as the Administrator, working closely with the Secretary of State's Office to ensure all laws are current relative to Georgia Election Codes and Rules of the State Election Board, Registration, and Ethics."

The proclamation noted that she had served with "integrity and commitment to elections and the voters of Tattnall County, with the department being the recipient of the Phoenix Award at the 2019 Georgia Association of Voter Registration and Elections Officials Annual Conference."

Paradice met one of her biggest challenges with the introduction of new equipment for the 2020 election cycle. She led in the process of setting up the new equipment and training election workers in testing and using the equipment.

The proclamation was presented to Paradice to serve as a reminder that although she is retiring, she will always be remembered as a valued employee dedicated to both her position and the Tattnall community, and she will be greatly missed.
