Louise Stafford Harvey, age 87, passed away on August 1, 2022, surrounded by those who loved her.

Born December 7, 1934, in Collins, Georgia, to John Robert and Lois Stafford, Louise was one of several children.  She was a 1951 graduate of Collins High School.  

Louise married her high school sweetheart, David Harvey, on June 13, 1951.  After marriage, she traveled with her husband throughout his military career, becoming a military wife and stay-at-home mother to their three children.  After raising her children, she began her 25-year career at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, Georgia, retiring as a comptroller/paymaster.

After living many years in Richmond Hill, she and David moved to Tippins Lake, outside of Reidsville, Georgia.  She loved spending time with her family, gardening, and reading.  A strong woman of faith, Louise was a member of Pineview Baptist Church.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings:  Gordon, Josephine, Nellie, Grace, Robert (Bill), and Betty.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, David; her children: Robert “Bob” Harvey (Carrie), Denise Morris (Lemar), and Allan “Dave” Harvey (Susie); her grandchildren: Ashley Harvey (Melissa), Justin Harvey (Mandi), Garett Harvey (Caity), Cara Morris, Ryan DeLettre (Jennifer), Kobe Harvey, and Zane Harvey; her sisters, Lynda Phillips and Gail Jacobsen (Greg); her brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Barbara Harvey; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
