For those who don’t know me, I am Council member Verdie Williams. My intentions are to seek re-election for Reidsville City Council, Ward I, Post I.
I’ve spent 46 years serving the citizens of Reidsville, the last four in the City Council. In that time, I’ve served as a member of the Finance Committee, helped to secure a much-needed building for the workers in our Public Works Department, and was a strong advocate for the renovations at Atkins Surrency Park.
I believe that our elected officials should be personable, accountable, and available; that’s why I follow up with every citizen who calls me for help. I’m a strong supporter of our city workers and citizens alike, and, together, we find answers to their problems. We’ve worked hard to get the city back on track financially, but the work is not done. There are projects on the table that still need to be completed, and that’s why I’m seeking re-election. Let me continue to be your voice at City Hall; re-elect Verdie Williams, Ward I, Post I.
