The Tattnall County High School (TCHS) Battle Creek Lady Warriors are this year’s Region 3-AA runner-up team. Tattnall County advanced to the Championship game with a 58-55 win over a very good Lady Indians’ team of Vidalia on Thursday, February 15, 2024. But the Lady Warriors were defeated, 43-34, in the Championship game on Friday, February 16, by the Lady Blue Herons of Brantley County. Both games were held at Toombs County High School in Lyons.

On Thursday night against Vidalia, Tattnall County took control in the first period and lead, 22-12, at the start of the second period. But the Lady Warriors went ice cold from the field in the second period, and the Lady Indians stormed back to take a 30-27 halftime lead. After the intermission, the Lady Warriors regrouped and forged ahead to take a 46-41 lead with 8 minutes to go. In the 4th quarter, the game got really intense, as both teams traded baskets. The Lady Indians got within 2 points of tying the game. But Tattnall County would make a few crucial free throws to get the win, 58-55, to advance to the Championship game.

Janiyiah Prigeon led the way for Tattnall County and led all scorers with 25 points. Brayla Blount had 10 points, and Valeria Sanchez added 9 points.
