Local Boy Scout members of Troop 930 received numerous merit badges at the Award Court of Honor Saturday afternoon at VFW Post 7764 in Reidsville. Cayden Evans, Camren Simmons, Riley Evans, Hunter English and Jordyn English received various merit Badge awards during the ceremony. The ceremony was canceled last year due to the COVID pandemic.

Hunter English achieved Star Rank and has a total of 17 Merit badges, Riley Evans has achieved Star Rank with a total of 13 Merit Badges, Jordyn English has achieved Scout Rank with a total of 11 Merit badges, Camren Simmons has earned Scout Rank with eight Merit Badges, and Cayden English has earned Scout Rank with six Merit Badges. Scoutmaster Jonathan Evans, Committee Chair Jerry English, and Committee Camp Director Trace Simmons made the presentations.

Scoutmaster Jonathan Evans presented VFW 7764 Commander Ronnie McCall and Quartermaster Ronnie Thomas with a plaque of appreciation for 7764’s support of Troop 930.

After the ceremonies, those present enjoyed a meal including grilled pork chops and chicken along with numerous side dishes.
