The Kiwanis Club of Tattnall County was presented with four awards at the 2022 Georgia District Kiwanis Convention in Macon over the August 12-14 weekend.
The club received first place in the scrapbook and press release competition. The scrapbook, created by Kiwanis Member Reika Strickland, included information and pictures of activities of the past year. The press release, written Kiwanis Reporter Sarah Smith, was published in the August 4 edition of The Journal Sentinel and detailed the annual activities and fundraisers held throughout the year in Tattnall County.
The club also received third place for an event flyer, designed by Robin Poole of Tattnall Printing and Kiwanis President Tammy Wilds. Tattnall Kiwanis also received third place for the social media competition.
Tattnall Kiwanis President Wilds, President-Elect Becky Anderson, Vice President Michelle Parker, and Members Reika Strickland and Susan Thomas attended the convention.
