Cody DeAlejandro of Reidsville flew to Lackland Air Force Base in Texas on September 5, 2022, for Basic Military Training (BMT).

After graduating BMT, Trainee DeAlejandro will go to Tech School where he will become a Water and Fuels System Maintenance Apprentice (3E4X1). It’s the job of Water and Fuel Systems Maintenance specialists to manage the plumbing, wastewater collection systems, liquid fuel storage, and natural gas distribution systems on every base. These professionals are highly trained in a wide variety of areas, including the principles of operation and construction and fire suppression systems in order to keep bases running smoothly while upholding the highest environmental standards. 

Cody is the 25-year-old son of Romeo and Laurie DeAlejandro. Cody’s father, retired Army (15 years), inspired him to pursue this career. Cody and his wife, Darby, have a five-year old son, Maddox.
