Tattnall County Fire, Reidsville Fire and Rogers State Prison Fire responded to a tractor fire at Jordan Farms on Sharp Street, Reidsville at 11:54, Monday, October 23, 2023.  Upon arrival firefighters found a New Holland tractor with a front end orchard sweeper engulfed in flames. The fire was extinguished, and it appeared that the tractor and sweeper were total loses, but there was no damage to buildings or injuries reported.

At 8:20 p.m. Monday night, Tattnall County Fire, Reidsville Fire, Rogers State Prison Fire, the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Department, and Tattnall EMS responded to a structure fire on Howard Willis Road just off Rod Strickland Road.  According to Jimmy Brown, fire units arrived at the single wide mobile home and quickly went inside and extinguished a small fire in the living room.  There was some smoke damage but very little fire damage. More importantly, there were no injuries.

The home was owned by Libby Willis, but the name of the occupant was unavailable.  It was obvious that a quick response by the fire departments resulted in preventing a more serious fire that would have caused serious damage or total loss of the structure.
