STMS announces Lakisha Bobbitt has been hired as new principal

Lakisha Bobbitt has been named as South Tattnall Middle School (STMS) Principal, according to an announcement made at the Tattnall Board of Education meeting on Monday, June 26, 2023. She had previously served at STMS for several months in the winter/spring of 2020, although the school was closed several weeks after she became the principal due to COVID.

For the past three years, she has been the principal at Tattnall County High School, where she was also a former English teacher. Overall, Bobbitt has spent her 17-year career in high school education and administration.

She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education from Georgia Southwestern University.  In addition, Bobbitt graduated from Georgia College and State University with both a Master’s degree and a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership.

“The students of Tattnall County Schools will forever be special to me, and I am grateful to be a part of their journey,” said Bobbitt.
