Special election to replace Reidsville council member Douglas Williams

A special election will be held on November 5, 2024, to fill the Reidsville City Council seat for Ward 2, Post 1, due to the recent resignation of council member Douglas Williams.

Qualifying will be held at Reidsville City Hall, 130 S. Main Street, Reidsville, from Monday, August 19, beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 12 noon on Thursday, August 22, 2024.  Qualifying fee is $90.

For Reidsville, the Special Election will be held at the Adult Literacy Center, 123 Tattnall St., Reidsville, GA.

If you are not registered to vote and would like to do so, you may register to vote through the close of business on October 7, 2024.

For the November General Election, advanced voting will be held from October 15 through November 1 at the Tattnall County Board of Elections Office in Reidsville. 

Advanced voting will also be held in Glennville from October 28, 2024, until November 1, 2024, at the East Glennville Precinct, 209 Bolton St., Glennville.

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Election Day of November 5. If a runoff is required, it will be held on December 3, 2024.{
