The BEST of Tattnall County 2024 winners, who had been selected by votes from the readers of The Journal Sentinel, which sponsored the competition, were honored at a reception at the Glennville Garden Club Center on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 6 p.m.
Advertising Manager/Staff Writer Pam Waters welcomed the crowd of winners gathered for the presentation of the framed 2024 BEST certificates and window clings for their business or profession. She congratulated them on the distinction of being voted the BEST in their respective categories and thanked them for their participation in the recent 2024 BEST of Tattnall County supplement.
Photos were taken by The Journal Sentinel Operations Manager Lillian Durrence of each winner with their framed certificate, and these will be posted on the paper's Facebook page for an extra way to salute these winners.
A full-page ballot for readers to select the winners was printed in The Journal Sentinel in several editions in May and June 2024.
Delicious hors d'oeuvres were prepared and served by Susan Thomas and her staff of Southern Flair Catering, who was selected as BEST Catering Service for 2024.
In addition to Waters and Durrence, The Journal Sentinel Copy Editor Harriet Carey also attended the reception.
