The very impressive members of the North Tattnall Elementary School (NTES) Choir entertained the Tattnall County Board of Education (BOE) members at their Monday, October 23, 2023, meeting. These third, fourth, and fifth graders are under the direction of music teacher Mikala Steele. She directed them in the memorization and singing of the Tattnall County High School (TCHS) alma mater, which they will be able to recall through their school years in the future.
These students, introduced by NTES Principal Christine Jenkins, include third graders Rinley Jenkins, Sawyer Strickland, and Kinzleigh Autry; fourth graders Aniston Kirby, Skylar Seay, Amrie Shaff, and Mia Eubank; and fifth graders Sutton Strickland, Hailea Guerrero, TInsley Alexander, Ella Kate Davis, Emmaclaire Howard, Ravyn Jarriel, Adalynn Callaway, Turner Johnson, and Weston Waters.
The alma mater is as follows:
Near Battle Creek in Tattnall County, Warriors came to be joining hearts together now.
In peace and harmony
how we love thee, how we praise thee,
this is now our cry.
Hail to thee, our alma mater
Tattnall County High.
In her halls and in her classes
knowledge we've achieved,
friendships made for now and ever
this we do believe.
How we love thee, how we praise thee
this is now our cry.
Hail to thee, our alma mater
Tattnall County High
