LCHS homecoming set for Sept. 9-13

Long County High School (LCHS) will celebrate homecoming Monday-Friday, September 9-13, 2024.  The theme selected for this year is “Fear the Riptide.”

The highlight of the week will be Friday night’s game against the Liberty County Panthers at 7:30 p.m. at Veterans Stadium.

At halftime, members of the Homecoming Court will be recognized, and the 2024 Long County Homecoming Queen will be crowned.

Vying for the queen’s crown, the senior members of the court include Kaiden Boshers, Aniya Coward, Chasady Hall, Kyndall Johnson, France Smith, Kelly Stokes, and Salavaoolemasina Tiapula-Savea.

In addition to the queen, one representative of each grade level will be crowned Homecoming Princess.

Representatives are as follows:

  • Juniors - MyJah Fedon, Macey Higgason, and Mildred Rivera.
  • Sophomores - Abigail McCallister, Emma Pfiester, and Amiyah Raimer.
  • Freshmen - Kayla Bird, Makenzie Smith, and Ta’Niya Yates.
  • LCHS Pre-K class - Rayna Wood and Axel White.

All are invited to the Homecoming parade on Thursday, September 12.  Parade participants will begin lining up at 4 p.m. behind the Long County Board of Education.  At 5 p.m., the parade will begin making its way from the Board office down Hwy. 57 to Walker Street.
