June 20 election for Tattnall County District 3 Commission seat
Early voting is now in progress thru June 16

An election will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, to fill the District 3 Tattnall County Commission seat.  The seat has been vacant since the death of District 3 Commissioner G.W. Thompson earlier this year.

The three candidates are Shane Brannen, a farmer who is a former math teacher; Billy Conley, the current City of Glennville Code Enforcement Officer and a residential and commercial builder; and Joe Odom, a retiree from the Georgia Department of Transportation and a former poultry farmer.

Advance/Early voting began Tuesday, May 30, and ends Friday, June 16, 2023, at the Tattnall County Elections Office on 114 W. Brazell Street, Reidsville, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In addition, early voting will be held at the building that has a sign “UGA Extension-Tattnall County” with the green 4-H logo on it in Glennville at 209 Bolton Street (located behind the Glennville City Auditorium) June 12-16 (Monday-Friday) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Election Day of June 20, this special election will be held at this building from the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Ample parking is located behind the building.
