Dr. Larry Hubbard purchases Dr. Troy Rahn dental practice

Dr. Larry Hubbard of Statesboro has purchased the practice of Dr. Troy Rahn in Glennville. The new name is Rahn and Hubbard Dentistry, as of Friday, July 7, 2023.

"I welcome Dr. Hubbard to my dental practice in Glennville. Because of health issues in recent years, I felt the need for greater assistance in my practice, although I will be in the office on Fridays of each week and possibly other days as well," said Dr. Rahn.

"I was very impressed from my first visit with Dr. Rahn and his staff with the warmth I sensed from each one and the efficient team of employees in his office," said Dr. Hubbard.

Dr. Hubbard earned his degree from Emory Dental School in 1979. He had a dental practice for several years in Sylvania, but then relocated to Statesboro where his office was known as Larry G. Hubbard, D.D.S., with 14 employees on staff.  After being in business for 39 years, Dr. Hubbard sold his dental practice.  However, he quickly discovered that retirement was not yet for him.  He was eager to resume administering dental services again.  (His practice was named Best Cosmetic Dentistry in Statesboro two years in a row.)

Rahn and Hubbard Dentistry will continue to offer the dental services of cleaning, fillings, crowns and bridges, partial and full dentures, extractions, and root canals to older children, teens, and adults.

In addition to Drs. Rahn and Hubbard, other staff includes dental hygienists Calysta Dent and Shawnda White; dental assistant Jessica Pascual (who is graduating this month from the Ogeechee Tech dental program); Camy Bland, part-time dental assistant; and Melissa Hales, office manager.

Office hours are Monday-Wednesday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.; Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.; and closed on Thursday, with no weekend hours. Phone number is 912-654-3046, location of 1007 E. Barnard Street, Glennville.

Dr. Hubbard is a widow and currently a member of the Statesboro Morning Rotary Club, with plans to join the Glennville Rotary Club. He has been a Rotarian for over 40 years.  Dr. Rahn is a charter member of the Glennville Rotary Club, which was formed in 1984; he has perfect attendance and is a Major Donor.
