Daphne Zeigler is the winner of Long County Rotary Club’s first major fundraiser. She held the winning ticket for a trip for four nights for six to the magical world of Disney in Orlando, Florida. The prize includes a stay for up to six guests in one of three luxe condos (3 beds/3 baths). Also, a one day pass per guest, choosing from one of four Disney Theme Parks, is included.

According to Long County Rotary Club President Brandi Castaño, club members sold all 500 tickets at $20 each, only needing four weeks to sell these tickets. The club profited $6050 from the fundraiser (after paying for the cost of the trip).

“A portion of the funds will be donated to the Long County Fire Department for the purchase of Sparky the Dog, the firemen’s mascot. Some of the funds will be put aside for investment in a fall event, which will be another fundraiser,” said Brandi.

“Thank all of you who purchased a ticket. We plan on having another trip raffle next year to a different location. We will be publicizing it closer to the fundraiser date,” said Brandi.
