Canoochee EMC Foundation recently presented a check for $4000 to Glennville Recreation Department Director Logan McCullough and Laurie Bergeron, Chairperson of the Picnic in the Park, toward the cost of the fireworks display planned for Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the Glennville Rec Park.

This event on July 6 is planned to provide fireworks, food and craft vendors, and commercial exhibits along with activities for all ages from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. that day.

The Picnic in the Park Committee will also be selling tickets to a 50/50 raffle to help with the expenses, including the cost of the fireworks, for a fun family afternoon and evening.  Donations are needed to make this all happen, and sponsor levels include Platinum, $3000; Gold, $2000; Silver, $1000; and Bronze, $500; and donations in any amount.

Food vendor spaces, 12 ft. x 12 ft., are $100; craft/commercial vendor spaces, 10 ft. x 10 ft., are $45; if two craft/commercial spaces are required, the cost is $80 for two.

For more information, to become a vendor or sponsor, or to volunteer in some other capacity, contact Laurie Bergeron at 912-255-0342 or email picnicinparkglennville@aol.com.
