The South Tattnall Middle School (STMS) boys’ soccer team earned their first playoff win in STMS soccer history by winning the first round of the 2022 region playoffs against Claxton Middle, later losing to North Tattnall Middle School (NTMS) in the second round.

The girls’ soccer team did not make it to the region playoffs this season, however their hard work and dedication has not gone unnoticed, Head Coach Regan Kennedy said.

Kennedy is assisted by Coach Kristin Barratta and Coach Michael Sapp for both teams. Kennedy and Barratta were sad to hear that Coach Sapp was not returning for the 2023 season, since he has done so much for the team.

“Coach Sapp has volunteered his time to coach and mentor STMS soccer players for the past three years. He’s leaving us this year, but our program really wouldn’t be anything without his help,” Coach Kennedy said. “Kristin and I are so thankful for all of Coach Sapp’s hard work and dedication to this team.”
