New Georgia Sweet Onion royalty was crowned this past Saturday, April 16 for newborn to age 15. Overall, 65 contestants participated in the 10 a.m. pageant held at the Glennville City Auditorium.

Kailey Ava Thompson, age 14 and the daughter of Josh and Renee Thompson of Statesboro, captured the crown of Teen Miss Georgia Sweet Onion(13-15 years of age).  She also received the award for Prettiest Dress and Most Photogenic.

The Teen Miss Georgia Sweet Onion court included first runner-up Halli Kate Johnson, 14-year-old daughter of Wade and Anna Johnson of Twin City, Georgia; and second runner-up Addyson Makay Arendes, 15-year-old daughter of Brian and Kerri Arendes of Statesboro.  Other awards were presented to Elainie Rae Lewis, 15-year-old daughter of Michael and Cara Lewis of Reidsville, for Prettiest Smile; Madison Page, 14-year-old daughter of Stevie and Sabrina Page of Glennville, for Prettiest Eyes; and Gracie Laine Gibson, 14-year-old daughter of Pattie Lanier and Joe Gibson of Claxton, for Prettiest Hair.

Pre-Teen Miss Georgia Sweet Onion(10-12 years of age) crown went to Abigail Elizabeth Long, 12-year-old daughter of Meg DeLoach of Glennville and Garth Long.  Her court included first runner-up and Prettiest Dress award to Hadden Claire Waters, 12-year-old daughter of Tim and Alana Waters of Glennville; second runner-up and Prettiest Smile to Mila Lulene Sapp, 12-year-old daughter of Joey and Lindsey Sapp of Claxton; Kaylee Ann Mobley, 10-year-old daughter of Jason and Vickey Allen and Jonathan and Jena Mobley of Glennville for Prettiest Eyes and Prettiest Hair; and McKenley Haskins, 12-year-old daughter of Jenna Cowart of Glennville, for Most Photogenic.

In the 7 to 9 years of age division, for the title of Junior Miss Georgia Sweet Onion, Kynslie Fitzgerald, the 7-year-old daughter of Cynthia Fitzgerald of Lyons, will wear the crown.  Her court includes first runner-up Brayleigh Logan Butler, who also was awarded Prettiest Smile and Most Photogenic, the 7-year-old daughter of Devin and Breanna Butler of Uvalda; second runner-up and Prettiest Hair awardee Brylee Adalynn Breaux, 9-year-old daughter of Kacy and Hutch Breaux of Claxton; and Finley Rae Wallace, 7-year-old daughter of Ben and Haley Wallace of Reidsville, who was awarded for Prettiest Eyes and Prettiest Dress.

Young Miss Georgia Sweet Onion(4-6 years old division) queen is Laralee Bevill Marsh, 4-year-old daughter of Matthew and Tara Marsh of Sylvania.  Her court included first runner-up Brooklyn Grace Rush, 5-year-old daughter of Hunter and Harley Rush of Claxton; second runner-up Ella Ann Purvis, 4-year-old daughter of Chase and Victoria Purvis of Glennville, who also was awarded Prettiest Smile, Prettiest Eyes, and Most Photogenic; and Hadley Elizabeth Dutton, 5-year-old daughter of Matt and Alisha Dutton of Glennville, for Prettiest Dress and Prettiest Hair.

For the 2-3 years of age title for Toddler Miss Georgia Sweet Onion, Mille Rae Thomas, 3-year-old daughter of Scott and Joni Thomas of Tarrytown, captured the crown.  Her court included first runner-up and Prettiest Dress Keymani Aniyah LaRae Dekle, 2-year-old daughter of Anthony Dekle, Jr., and Destiny Jones Dekle of Glennville; second runner-up Ryleigh Gray Hitchcock, 2-year-old daughter of Katelin and Nolan Hitchcock of Uvalda; River Lynn Sapp, 2-year-old daughter of Josh and Allison Sapp of Glennville, for Prettiest Smile; Everley Mae Wallace, 3-year-old daughter of Ben and Haley Wallace of Reidsville, for Prettiest Eyes; and Millie Kay Rustin, 2-year-old daughter of John and Lauren Rustin of Claxton, for Prettiest Hair and Most Photogenic.

The Little Miss Georgia Sweet Oniontitle for the 12 months to 23 months of age division was won by 14-month-old Henley Rae Jernigan, the daughter of Brett and Kayla Jernigan of Lyons; Henley also was awarded Prettiest Eyes, Prettiest Dress, and Prettiest Hair.  Her court included first runner-up and Most Photogenic and Prettiest Smile awardee Willow Paige Hunt, 14-month-old daughter of Prentiss and Eliza Hunt of Uvalda; and second runner-up Leighton Everly Hall, 23-month-old daughter of Phillip and Kiley Hall of Glennville.

Baby Miss Georgia Sweet Onion(ages 0-11 months) was presented to Susanna Grace Breaux, six-month-old daughter of Hutch and Kacy Breaux of Claxton; Susanna also was awarded for Prettiest Dress, Prettiest Hair, and Most Photogenic.  First runner-up went to RemiGrace Saige Butler, 9-month-old daughter of Devin and Breanna Butler of Uvalda; and second runner-up and Prettiest Smile award went to Ellie Kate Wooten, 10-month-old daughter of Sid and Hannah Wooten of Glenwood; and Hadley Grace Morgan, 8-month-old daughter of Chad and Kristie Morgan of Glennville, for Prettiest Eyes.

Camy Bland, 2021 Miss Georgia Sweet Onion, served as the Mistress of Ceremonies.  Lynn McArthur and Tracy Waters served as auditors for the pageant.

Volunteers included Derek Bland (sound booth), Emma Dasher, Malaree Dasher Madison McArthur, Carlee McLeod, Lee Ann Roberts, and Karla Collins. pageant was under the direction of Anita Dasher and Jennifer Bland.
