After two years when COVID 19 interrupted local Christmas parade schedules, the annual Collins Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday November 26, 2022 at beginning at 3:00 p.m. It’s an attempt by the Collins City Council to get the Christmas season in high gear a little early and fit the parade within the schedules of Cobbtown, Reidsville and Glennville. The lineup will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Collins Elementary School of Hwy 23 North. Churches, clubs, schools, civic organizations, business and individuals are solicited to join in the fun.
The theme for the 2022 parade is Fishing for a White Christmas. Participants are encouraged to decorate their cars, trucks, trailers, floats, side by sides, motorcycles or whatever you have and get in the lineup.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will ride in the parade. Some are hoping they might even bring a little very early snow straight from the North Pole.
The event is hosted by the Collins Volunteer Fire Department and the Collins Lions Club. Mark it on your calendar and don’t miss it. It will be a fun way to kick off the 2022 Christmas Season.
