Dal Cannady, formerly of WTOC television station in Savannah, Georgia, was presented a plaque of appreciation at the December 20, 2023, Glennville Rotary Club Christmas luncheon.

The plaque was planned to be presented on August 30, 2023, proclaiming Dale Cannady Day in Glennville, but the hurricane named Idalia changed those plans since Cannady was called to cover the storm in his last week at the TV station.  After 27 years in broadcasting, Cannady is now serving Bulloch County as the Communications Director.

The plaque mentions Cannady's coverage of Glennville events and happenings over the years and his support of the community. Cannady was especially supportive of the annual Glennville Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day, which he covered throughout the day for the TV station for many years.

The plaque was presented by Glennville Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Shellie Smith and Wayne Dasher.
