Billy Conley was elected in 2023 to fill the unexpired term of Tattnall County District 3 Commissioner G.W. Thompson, who died in January 2023. Conley has announced his intentions to seek re-election to the seat for a full four-year term.

Conley also serves as the Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Glennville. He is a residential and commercial builder as well.

He and his wife, Betsy, have one daughter, Becky Tucker (husband Jason), and one grandson, Will Tucker.

His formal announcement will follow once qualifying opens in March 2024.
