56 Kayakers participate in first annual Kiwanis Kayak Poker Run

At the first annual Kiwanis Kayak Poker Run on Saturday, July 13, 2024, 56 kyakers were on the water, and numerous people who bought hands at the Old Camp and hung out, enjoyed fellowship, swam, caught up with old friends or made new ones, and enjoyed some delicious hotdogs, hamburgers, boiled peanuts, watermelon, and chewy cake fresh from the oven.

The poker run started at the Prison Bridge and ended at Old Camp, with three stops along the river, with five card hand and best and worst hand wins.

Sponsors are as follows:

  • Gold - Renasant Bank.
  • Silver -  Charla Nail, Realtor at Kelly Driggers Realty; TCM Liquidations; and Collins Insurance Agency.
