Nate Delgado of North Tattnall Middle School (NTMS) is the winner of the Second Annual Tattnall Throwdown Virtual Scholastic Chess Tournament, held in late February 2022.

Delgado was undefeated against 27 other students from four schools total, NTMS, South Tattnall Middle School (STMS), Southeast Bulloch (SEB), and Metter Middle School (MMS).

In addition, every competitor from NTMS won at least one game, and three of the top four finishers were from NTMS.

Chess Club Sponsor Andrew Messer wanted to shout out the NTMS Media Specialist, Marilyn Shehee, for helping the boys login and for getting the games going. Messer is assisted by Coach John Brazel and Principal Donny Sikes.
