The North Tattnall Middle School (NTMS) girls soccer team hosted the first round of playoffs against Metter Middle School on Monday, March 28.

Although Metter was seeded third, fifth-seeded NTMS was able to gain the victory. Yuliana Hernandez would score first with a penalty kick after being fouled by one of Metter’s defenders. Metter then answered with a goal of their own, tying the game at halftime. Fans then watched in anticipation as NTMS’s Bella Nelson scored with an assist by Camilla Ovalle.

The final score was NTMS 2, Metter 1. NTMS then went to Bryan County to play in the second round of playoffs but lost to an undefeated BCMS team. The final score was Bryan County 8, NTMS 1. Midfielder Evelyn Rodriguez would put the only point on the scoreboard for NTMS.
